simplifying SUPPORT
AJS are soon to be among a small number of UK companies offering a nationwide service with this type of support technology. The small Unmanned Air Vehicle (sUAV) can be operated in area's where other vehicle access is restricted. Our service is suited to a wide range of applications including large structure, building surveys, historic surveys, promotional imagery, and emergency service incident surveys. Structures and land with historical significance can be surveyed and photos obtained with no impact on the subject area. Onboard GPS and Altimeters can be pre programmed to maintain height and flight path during a survey. All images are viewed on the ground base station to ensure imagery is taken to the clients satisfaction.
Our Remote Imagery Support service primarily will use an Unmanned Air System based on a reliable German minicopter Joker 2 air vehicle that is controlled by the UK developed Carvec Systems Ltd control systems. This sUAS has been in use with the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service for 20 months and is also powered by a brushless electric motor and rechargeable battery packs. It is environmentally friendly and quiet. This larger vehicle enables us to fly in difficult weather conditions (Winds up to 30 mph) and carry standard DSLR and professional HD video equipment.
The Carvec Kestrel system has a number of built in safety features including Built In Test, visual display warnings, auto stabilisation, height and position hold. The system also has a homing failsafe function. If there is an issue such as loss of Radio Control, it will initiate return home manoeuvring to a safe working height; it will then move to hover over its previous take off point. After a minute it will initiate self landing. Other such safety features combined with our operating procedures ensure safe operation of the system.
Our range of sUAS vehicles are designed to carry a range of imagery devices providing a range of support solutions to satisfy our customers requirements. Solutions include still and video cameras, plus options for low light still, FLIR video devices and Laser scanners.
